About this work
The female personification of Wrath (Ira) sits in the company of a bear and is clad in armour. In her hands she holds a sword and a burning torch, to her right lie a shield with the head of Medusa, breastplate, halberd and a sword. On the left in the background soldiers fight on horseback. The print has a one-line Latin inscription and is part of a series of prints on the seven deadly sins.
