About this work
The Man is assisted by the personifications of Faith, Hope and Charity. On the left stands Charity with a burning heart and two children beside her. She gives a coin to a beggar with a wooden leg. On the right Hope with the anchor at her feet pointing to Christ who appears in the heavens with a cross. Far right Faith with an open Bible and cross in her hands. She rests her foot on the cornerstone (symbol for Christ). Below the image an explanatory text in Latin. This print forms part of an album.
