About this work
The high priest Jehoiada pours anointing oil over the head of Joash and proclaims him king. Onlookers blow trumpets and play the harp. Between the soldiers on the right Queen Athaliah watches while tearing her clothes. On the right in the background Queen Athaliah is killed. At the bottom in the margin a verse in Latin about the image. This print is part of an album.
