About this work
The high priest Jehoiada pours oil on the head of Joash and proclaims him king. Onlookers blow trumpets and play the harp. Between the soldiers on the right, Queen Athaliah watches while tearing her clothes. On the right in the background, Queen Athaliah is killed. At the bottom of the margin is a verse in Latin about the scene. This print is part of an album.
