About this work

Two fragments of a walnut paneling, consisting of two panel frames. These consist of a headpiece, resting on two diagonally placed Corinthian fluted columns on pedestals. Between them is a border arch, supported by pilasters and filled with a shell. See also: BK-Bfr-365-b. These fragments served as picture frames; see: cat. paintings RM, nos. A 2107 and A 2108.
