Napoleon as Barber for the European Powers, 1806

Barber's shop where a small Napoleon shaves the European countries. In the barber's chair sits Frederick William III, King of Prussia, with shaving foam on his chin ready to be shaved. Napoleon holds a large knife in his hands and has the beard of a Turkish Sultan Selim III in his grasp, who recoils in horror, while a bishop (Talleyrand) tries to apply shaving soap to the beard of the Turk. The Dutchman and the Austrian Emperor on the left are already shaved, their heads are bald and scarred. The Englishman John Bull looks surprised through a window into the shop.
