About this work
Gideon, with ten servants, demolishes the altar of Baal on God's orders. In the background, the Asherah pole is felled and transported. From the pole, an altar is built, upon which the bull of Joas, Gideon's father, is sacrificed in the distance. Below the image is an inscription in Latin. The print is part of an album.
