About this work

A Greek philosopher is preaching to a devil holding a globe and a mask. In the foreground, figures from ancient antiquity sit at a peacock pie, a wine jug, and a bag of money. In the background, an obelisk, two allegorical figures standing on a pedestal, and a group sacrificing an ox. Above, gods sit on clouds.
