About this work
Flora, or the personification of spring, sits next to a youthful man before a pergola. They represent the sanguine temperament of the pleasure-seekers. In the background to the left, some couples in love by a fountain. In the background to the right, dancing couples. At the top left, center, and right the zodiac signs: Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, which correspond to the element air. Below the image a four-line poem in Latin. This print is part of an album.
