About this work
Standing woman in a ball dress of tulle trimmed with bouillons and a satin rouleaux. Belt with hanging ribbons. The dress is for sale at Burty, Rue de Richelieu. The hairstyle, by Nardin, is adorned with buttercups and 'Aloës à bee de perroquet', from the shops of Cartier. Figure in the same ball dress, seen from the back, seated on a tabouret. Print from the fashion magazine Petit Courrier des Dames (1821-1868). Bound (with some pages from Le Journal des Dames et des Modes). 15 January 1827 to 20 March 1830. Incomplete.
