About this work

On a triumphal wagon sits the personification of Geographia totius orbis with a city crown on her head, a key in her left hand, and a scepter in her right hand. To the left walks the personification of the continent of America with a feather headdress. In front of America, Europe leads a horse by the hand, wearing a crown and holding a scepter. To the right walks the personification of Africa in the guise of a black woman next to an elephant. In front of her, Asia is depicted as a woman with flowers in her hair, leading a camel. The cart is drawn by two lions with two putti. In the sky, five putti hold a title on a scroll.
