About this work

The Good Samaritan pours oil from a bottle onto the wound in the traveler's shoulder, while with his other hand he supports his head. Behind them the donkey, in the foreground another bottle and a bundle. Below the image a two-line text in Latin from Luke 10 and a six-line verse in German.
