About this work

Lazarus lies dead on a straw bed under a shelter. He is mourned by three figures. In the sky three angels carry his soul to heaven. Right in the background: the sick Lazarus walking on crutches in the landscape. With Latin inscription above and French and Dutch inscriptions below.
