About this work
Woman with a lute, seen from the back. She wears a caraco with 'manches en sabot' on a skirt decorated with gathered strips of gauze. Her hat was called 'Chapeau à l'Italienne'. Accessories: ribbon around the neck, bracelet and shoes with heel and rosette. Print from series P. 15th Cahier de Costumes Français, 9th Suite d'Habillemens à la mode and 1778, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
