About this work
Four ladies' hairstyles, one seen from the back, divided into four ovals. Top left: 'coeffure à l'Enfant' with a 'pouf' of tulle. Top right: 'coeffure à la relevée' or 'a la convalescente,' with a round tulle cap over which a tulle fichu is tied under the chin. Bottom left: 'coëffure à l'Enfant' without 'pouf' or hat. Bottom right: 'coeffure a l'Enfant', seen from the back, with a hat according to the latest fashion. Print from series 34th Cahier de Costumes Français, 8th Suite de Coeffures à la mode en 1780, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
