About this work

Woman in a white bodice of plain muslin decorated with fine muslin. 'Manches en sabot'. Under-skirt of 'mousseline des Indes' with stripes/floral pattern, lined with colored taffeta. 'Coëfure à l'enfance' with a simple hat 'according to the latest fashion'. Further accessories: earrings, necklace consisting of two strings with pendant, bracelets, long gloves, fan, shoes with heels and bows. Print from series II. 35th Cahier de Costumes Français, 27th suite d'Habillements à la mode en 1781, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
