About this work
Woman dressed in a 'robe à la polonaise' of 'satin leger', trimmed with bands in another color and gathered strips of tulle. Manches en sabot. On her head a 'Bonet à tuyaux' with flowers and a rosette of brilliants in the center front, fastened with a twisted ribbon. Accessories: bracelet, stockings and shoes with heels and buckles. Copy after gg 181 from series gg. 31e Cahier des Costumes Français, 24e Suite d'Habillemens à la mode en 1780, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
