About this work

Woman walking to the left, wearing a satin hat with a hanging flap, trimmed with gold fringes. She wears a short-sleeved gown with a high waist. Further accessories: bracelet on the left upper arm, long gloves, flat shoes. In her right hand a loose glove. The print is part of a series of 142 fashion prints, of which 115 have been identified, published by J. Chéreau, Paris, 1799-1810.
