Standing man dressed in a wool redingote trimmed with silk buttons. Underneath a printed 'casimir' vest and long wool trousers. Morocco leather collar. In his hand a whalebone walking stick. Further accessories: tall hat, gloves, shoes with square toes. In the background a man dressed in a wool mantle lined with plush. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published by Pierre de la Mésangère, Paris, 1797-1839.
