About this work

The latest and newest fashion of 1837. From left to right: Evening dress with floral pattern. Half-length sleeves. Dress with tight long sleeves, four gathered strips of fabric on the upper arm. Collar(?), trimmed with gathered strips of fabric. Girl in a similar dress with floral pattern. Evening dress with boat neck, pleated bodice, and wide skirt. Accessories: bonnet, necklace, brooch, gloves, fan. Above are three women, half-length, in dresses with boat necks. Print from the fashion magazine The World of Fashion (1824-1891).
