About this work

The latest and newest fashions of 1836. Dress with long pleated sleeves. Mantle with floral and leaf motif. Wide flaring sleeves. Matching shoulder cape(?) with flaps, tapering into tassels. Dress with small shoulder cape, trimmed with pleated strip of fabric. Flaps draped to the back. Accessories: bonnet with feathers, cap with ribbon, gloves, handkerchief, shoes with square toes. Print from the fashion magazine The World of Fashion (1824-1891).
