About this work
A woman with a boy holding a skipping rope, numbered one and two. 1. Hat of 'gros de Naples', decorated with ears of corn. Bodice of checkered muslin. Transparent sheep's leg sleeves, underneath long sleeves. Pelerine with points of embroidered organdie. Further accessories: earring in the right ear, gloves, bracelets on both wrists, handkerchief. 2. Children's clothing. Sailor suit of goat's wool. Hat or 'chapeau casquette' of 'crin'. Print from the fashion magazine *Petit Courrier des Dames* (1821-1868).
