About this work

'Redingote-habit'. Long trousers of new 'coutil de fil anglais', by Blain. Waistcoat and shirt with gathered jabot. Knotted neckerchief. Further accessories: high hat with standing brim, two cravat pins, cord with lorgnette, gloves, charm, walking stick, shoes with square toes. Print from the fashion magazine La Mode (1829-1855).
