About this work
Rich costume. 'Habit de cheval' with a single row of buttons. Breeches, trimmed with suede. Accessories: high hat, lorgnette on a cord, handkerchief (?), gloves, walking stick, shoes with heels. Redingote of cloth and 'pantalon transition' from the workshops of Mr. Lucien. Knotted neckerchief. Shirt with gathered jabot. 'Modes de Longchamp'. Print from the fashion magazine La Mode (1829-1855).
