About this work
Two standing women in a park; the one on the left is dressed in a silk gown with a collar of embroidered muslin. She wears a gros de Naples apron decorated with lace. The woman on the right is dressed in a thibet taffeta gown with a foulard neckerchief. On her head a straw bonnet, and in her left hand a parasol. Print from the fashion magazine Journal des Jeunes Personnes, Paris, 1833–1868 and 1892–1898.
