About this work

The actor Arashi Tokusaburo changes his name to Arashi Kitsusaburo II and plays the role of Hyogonomoki Yorimasa (9/1822) from the play Yorimasa nue monogatari. In the cartouche, the actor Arashi Kitsusaburo I (Rikan I) as Hyogonokami Yorimasa (9/1821) in the play Yorimasa nue monogatari. Naka Theater. The poem by Kitsusaburo II reads: "Grateful for my teacher's kindness, / richly descending on my rain hat / like a sudden autumn shower." Added to this is the text: "I was allowed to take my teacher's name on the first anniversary of his death."
