About this work

Japanese troops attack the Daidô gate of the city of Pyongyang. On the left Lieutenant-General Nozu on horseback with drawn sword, in the middle General Ôshima with his sword in the air. Colonel Fukushima assaults the Chinese soldiers on the bridge and in the back General-Major Tatsumi attacks the city from another side. This battle took place on 15 September 1894, but in reality the different troops took turns and were not in action simultaneously.
