About this work

Abimelech and Isaac swear not to harm each other. Standing next to Abimelech are his confidant Achuzzat and his army commander Pichol. On the right in the background, the king sits at a table with Isaac. On the left, Isaac's servants dig the well of Sheba, which later gave the city the name Beersheba (Gen. 26:28). The print is part of an album.
