About this work

Christ tells his disciples about his death and resurrection. On the left in the background Christ shows himself after his resurrection. On the right through the window the ascension of Christ is visible. The image is here used as a depiction of Christ saying after his resurrection to his disciples that they must remain in Jerusalem. Letters are placed at various elements in the image. Above the image a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to Luke 24: 48-49. The print forms part of an album.
