About this work

Inhabitants from Jerusalem return from exile. In the city the rebuilding of the temple has already begun. The image is here used as an illustration for the settlement of the lineage of Noah in Shinar. The building in the distance is then the Tower of Babel under construction. With a title above the image. Below, six lines of verse and a reference to Genesis 11: 1-2. The print is part of an album.
