About this work
The king of Assyria sent people from Babylon, Cuthah, Avva, Hamath and Sepharvaim to the cities of Samaria, where he assigned them a dwelling place instead of the Israelites. These people took possession of Samaria and went to live there. The first time they lived there, they did not worship the Lord. Therefore the Lord let lions loose on them, which tore some of them apart. Above the image a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to 2 Kings 17: 25. The print is part of an album.
