About this work
In the desert the Israelites fought the tribe of Amalek. To the left on a hill Moses, Aaron and Hur. As long as Moses held his arms up, the Israelites had the upper hand, but as soon as he lowered them, they were pushed back. When Moses became tired, Aaron and Hur let him sit on a stone and supported his arms until the end of the day, when Amalek was defeated. Above the scene a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to Exodus 17: 8-11. The print is part of an album.
