About this work
The rich man has himself served abundantly. In the kitchen an elaborate feast is prepared. In the middle a table where poultry is prepared. In front of the door of the house lies the poor Lazarus, a beggar, starving to death. Two dogs lick his wounds. In the background it can be seen how the rich man ends up in the fire of hell, and Lazarus is taken up to heaven. Above the image a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to Luke 16: 19-24. The print is part of an album.
