About this work

In the temple of Jerusalem the Pharisees bring a woman to Christ who is caught in adultery. He must judge her. Christ writes with his finger on the ground and says: 'He who is without sin, cast the first stone'. Letters stand next to various elements of the scene. Above the image a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to John 8: 2-5. The print is part of an album.
