About this work
Christ sits at table in Bethany in the house of Simon, the one who had suffered from leprosy. A sinful woman (Mary Magdalene) pours very precious oil from an alabaster flask over the head of Christ. In the medallion the woman washes the feet of Christ and dries them with her hair. Letters stand next to various elements of the scene. Above the image a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to Matthew 26: 6-7. The print is part of an album.
