About this work

These by Charles-Maurice Le Tellier dedicated to Louis XIV. Portrait of Louis XIV in a laurel wreath, held by the winged Father Time, leaning on a globe. On the left and right, a pillar depicting the story of Louis XIV (left) and possibly that of Alexander the Great (right). At the bottom of the these, which is erected on a stone pedestal with a decorated pillar on either side, sit Apollo and Hercules.
