About this work

Two men with a huge spider in the background. Two warriors from the tenth century, Sôma Yoshikado, with a hand scroll, and Utô Yoshikata sitting with a sword, are approached by the monstrous spider Tsuchigumo. This scene refers to chapter 19 of the Tale of Genji.
