About this work

Ashikaga Mitsuuji (far left, played by Bandô Hikosaburô V) hides with his beloved Tasogare (played by Iwai Shijaku II) during a rainstorm in an abandoned old temple. Suddenly, a dancer with the mask of jealousy appears. This dancer (far right, played by Kawarazaki Gonjûrô I) turns out to be the spirit of Ashikaga Mitsuuji's wife, who wants to kill the lovers. In the center, Akogi no Seikan with golden hairpins. Triptych.
