About this work
Print forms part of an album. Numbered in the lower right: XLII. In the center on a throne sits Justice (Justitia), holding a sword in one hand and a scale in the other. She tramples King Midas, as personification of Greed, and Envy (Invidia). To the left of Justice the personification of Punishment with various instruments of torture, including a leg-crusher. To the right of Justice Death with an empty hourglass and a scythe. In the upper left two harpies, in the upper right two putti with lightning bolts and a rudder.
