About this work
Two pages with on the right 11 pasted and labeled (491-498) samples of decorated ornamental strips of gold-colored metal paper. On the opposite left page a table with handwritten corresponding specifications (in code) per ornament. Part of the sample book donated by the Van Rijn ladies, presumably from a French manufacturer of luxury papers, or his representative in the Netherlands, ca. 1830.
