About this work

Two pages with three mounted and labeled samples (535-550) of very wide, decorated gilt metal foil moldings on the right. Sample no. 537 is missing. On the opposite left page, a table with handwritten corresponding specifications (in code) for each ornament. Part of the sample book donated by the Van Rijn ladies, presumably from a French manufacturer of luxury papers or its representative in the Netherlands, ca. 1830.
