About this work

Top left cartouche with legend and topographical information about the Seventeen Provinces. Above it the Dutch Lion, to the left Minerva and to the right a woman with a crown. Below it the coat of arms of the Munter family. Top right title cartouche surrounded by several figures: Hercules, Minerva, Fama, a woman with the horn of plenty in her arms (possibly Concordia) and a woman with a wreath on her head and a sheaf of corn in her arms (possibly Fides). Bottom left scale bar: Milliaria Germania com: common Dutch miles, Milliaria Gallica communia / Hours travel. Degree division along the edges. Orientation: north to the right.
