About this work

The Kleine Hagen, a map of Leiden with an ornamental border from 1675. In the center, the map in bird's-eye view with a legend 1-63 in the lower left and a scale bar in the lower right: Schala van 50 Rhijnlandtse roeden. Above the map, the title and the coats of arms of the burgomasters in office in 1675, above that the city's coat of arms. Below the map, a profile of the city. The rest of the border consists of sixteen views of buildings in the city.
