Allegory of the Love of Man for God

Adam gives his heart to God in a paradisiacal landscape with animals. In the sky the all-seeing eye of God is depicted with angels and saints, and from the rays comes a cornucopia as a reward for a man who gave love a place in his life. In a scene in the background we see the crucified Christ with the two thieves on either side and Longinus who thrusts his lance into Christ's side. Biblical text from the First Epistle of John, 4:19.
