About this work
Abraham is about to sacrifice his son Isaac as God has commanded him. He sees the angel whom God sends to stop the sacrifice. Instead of his own son, Abraham sacrifices a ram that plays in the bushes in the foreground. Print from a series of six prints depicting the life story of the patriarch Abraham.
