About this work
In a smithy human heads are forged. They are "hard heads" indicating a stubborn and proud posture. The vice of stubbornness can only be changed by forging the "regretful hard balls". A basket stands on the ground. It is full of heads. Four men are forging and a fifth comes walking with a basket full of heads.
