About this work
The forging of heads, 1705. In a smithy, the head of Theodorus de Cock is worked on by three smiths, including Petrus Codde (the Coddige Smid), with hammers until a rooster emerges from the head. On the ground, heads of the pope and a Jesuit. Seventh sheet in the series of 10 sheets with satirical prints on the Jesuits titled Roma Pertubata, 1706.
