About this work
Above in the clouds the naked personification of the morning, Aurora. She holds a bouquet of flowers in her hands and wears a star on her head. The background of the print shows a landscape with shepherds walking to the pasture, hunters returning from the hunt and a school starting. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a four-part series about the four times of the day.
