About this work

A young man speaking before the court, offering the ruler a sheet with theses. On either side the goddess Minerva and the god Janus. To the right lie attributes of science, such as books and globes, on the ground. To the left a group of courtiers. Through the large windows there is a view of baroque gardens; to the left, a village.
