About this work

Joseph sits with others in the prison of Egypt. He explains their dreams to the cupbearer and the baker of the Pharaoh. The baker dreams of a basket full of bread that he carries on his head and where birds peck. The cupbearer dreams of a blooming vine from which he picks grapes. The print is part of a series on the history of Joseph.
